Dr. Costantino is the recent recipient of the
prestigious "The Best Doctors in America Plaque" for
2003-2004.
This plaque is awarded
only to those physicians who have been selected by consensus
of their peers, to be included in the Best Doctors
listings.
Only about 4% of all doctors
in the U.S. are honored in this way by their colleagues. This
award is bestowed as the result of a nationwide survey, in
which doctors cast more than one million votes.

a product for tissue reengineering called AlloDerm®.
Tissue engineering is a hot topic for researchers, and close
attention to AlloDerm® is being paid by
researchers who are attempting to generate human organs.
Dr. Costantino states that, "many doctors
and HMOs are unaware of our reconstructive capability. Instead,
they steer their tumor-stricken patients to radiation and
chemo, which could be less effective than surgery."
